Day 1 Yangon (D)
Arrival transfer to the hotel for overnight. |

Day 2 Yangon - Bagan (B, L, D)
Transfer to the airport for departure to Bagan by
AM flight and transfer to the hotel for 3 nights.
Continue visit to Nyaung-Oo Market; Shwezigon
Pagoda, a solid cylindrical structure that forms the
prototype of Myanmar Stupas; Kyansittha Umin, a
tunnel with an interesting feature of paintings;
Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural
paintings of Jataka scenes; Htilominlo Temple, a
double storied structure known for its frieze and
pilaster molding and Archaeological Museum.
In the afternoon visit to Ananda Temple, which
contains Gothic Arches and stone sculptures of
exquisite workmanship; Ananda oakkyaung, a brick
monastery with 18th century mural paintings;
lacquerware industry; Myinkaaba Gubyaukkyi, an early
style temple with mural paintings; Manuha Temple
with gigantic Buddha images, a representation of the
physical discomfort and mental distress of the
captive King of Thaton; Nanpaya, an early style
temple with the finest stone carvings; Mingalazedi
Pagoda, the last stupa built before the Mongols
invasion; and sunset at Bupaya Pagoda, standing on
the brink of the Ayeyarwady River. |

Day 3 Bagan (B, L, D)
Morning Sightseeing tours in Southeastern part of
Bagan featuring 13th century temples. Nandamanya,
Thambula and Laymyetnha, noted for their fine mural
paintings; Payathonzu with mural paintings of
Mahayanist character; Sulamani and Damayangyi, a
massive temple with the finest brickwork.
Afternoon sightseeing tour including Abeyadana
temple, famous for its fine mural paintings on
Mahayana Buddhism; Nagayon, the early typed temples
of the 11th century; Somingyi Okkyaung, a brick
monastery; Seinnyet Nyiama, a temple and a stupa
with exquisite design and decorations; East and West
Petleik Pagodas, with interesting terracota plaques;
and Lawkananda, a Pyu-style stupa on the brink of
Ayeyarwady River. |

Day 4 Bagan - Mt. Popa (B, L, D)
Morning excursion to Mount Popa about 60
kilometers south east of Bagan. It takes about 1
hour and 15 minutes drive. Rising to 1,520 meters
from the flat, surrounding plains, Mount Popa is
said to be the core of an extinct volcano and a lot
of shrines dedicated to animistic spirits, known as
"Nats". |

Day 5 Bagan - Mandalay (B, L, D)
Transfer to the airport for the flight to
Mandalay by A.M flight and transfer to the hotel for
3 nights. Mandalay morning tour featuring
traditional silk weaving industry, Shwenandaw
Monastery, fine specimens of Myanmar wood carvings,
the remains of the Atumashi Monastery, Kuthodaw
Pagoda, known as the World's Biggest Book and the
World's heaviest Book for its stone slabs of the
Buddhist scriptures, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda; a large
Buddha image carved out of a single block of marble,
Mandalay Palace, and Kywezun jetty to watch
water-buffaloes haul timbers and load it on to the
trucks.
Afternoon tour starts with visit to famous Maharmuni
Pagoda, traditional handicraft workshops, gold leafs
hammering, marble work and wood-carving. Then drive
over Inwa Bridge across the Ayeyarwaddy River to
picturesque Sagaing Hill, a retreat for Buddhist
devotees with numerous pagodas and monasteries. |

Day 6 Mandalay (B, L, D)
Morning tour includes Shwe Inbin monastery, an
excellent specimen of Myamnar wooden architecture.
Continuation of tour to ancient capital Amarapura,
11 kilometers south of Mandalay, Highlight Bagaya
monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images,
Mahagandayon monastery, one of the largest
monasteries, and 1.2 kilometers long U Bein Wooden
Bridge.
Afternoon Excursion to Mingun, 11 Kilometers upriver
form Mandalay on the western bank of the Ayeyawady
River, home of the largest intact bell in the world-
as well as unfinished pagoda sometimes described as
the biggest pile of bricks on earth and Myatheindan
Pagoda, one of the prettiest pagodas in Myamnar. A
45 minute boat trip to Mingun is very pleasant with
plenty of life on the river to see. |

Day 7 Mandalay - Pyin Oo Lwin (B, L, D)
Excursion to Pyin Oo Lwin, a hill station over 11
Kilometers above the sea level, and 69 kilometers to
the east of Mandalay. Enjoy the beautiful scenery
and cool highland temperatures. Tour highlights:
Forest: Museum Pwekauk Waterfalls, and 142 hectare
Botanical Garden. |

Day 8 Mandalay - Heho - Pindaya (B, L, D)
Transfer to the airport for departure flight to
Heho by A.M flight. Continue drive to Pindaya, a
small quiet town about 100 kilometers from Taunggyi.
Tour highlights; Pindaya Lake and Pindaya Cave,
well-known for its countless Buddha images. Enjoy
also the great scenic beauty of the countryside
along the road to Pindaya. Transfer to the hotel for
overnight. |

Day 9 Pindaya - Inle Lake (B, L, D)
Drive to Inle Lake and excursion around Inle Lake
area: famous for it's particular leg-rowers and
scenic beauty. Tour Highlights; Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda,
wonderful floating gardens, floating market; unique
way of fishing; weaving village of Inpawkhon and
village fife on the lake. |

Day 10 Heho - Yangon (B, L, D)
Transfer to the airport for departure flight to
Yangon.
Afternoon tour includes Bogyoke Aung San Market.
Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, Maha Passana Guha Cave
where sixth Buddhist Synod took place. Proceed to
Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon's
waterfront; Maha Bandoola Park with Independence
Monument; Sule Pagoda, a beautiful octagonal golden
stupa in the heart of the city. |

Day 11 Yangon - Bago (B, L, D)
Drive to Bago in the morning, an ancient capital
of the Mon Kingdom, 80 kilometers northeast of
Yangon. Visit Shwemawdaw, one of the most venerated
pagodas in Myanmar;
Shwethalyaung, the most life of reclining Buddha;
Kyaikpun Pagoda, four high and huge Buddha images
and Bago market. Overnight in Bago. |

Day 12 Bago - Kyaikhtiyo (B, L, D)
Continue your overland journey to the town of
Kyaik-hto. From here you will trek to the small,
highly revered Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda, unusual in that it
is balanced precariously atop a massive gold plated
rock perched on the edge of a cliff. Legend has it
that the balance is maintained by the exact
placement of a hair of the Buddha preserved inside
the pagoda. Overnight in Kyaikhto. |

Day 13 Kyaikhtiyo - Yangon (B, L, D)
Drive Back to Yangon in the morning and transfer
to the hotel for overnight. |

Day 14 Yangon (B, L)
Morning tour of Yangon visit to magnificent
Shwedagon Pagoda, a towering landmark of
Yangon, Chaukhtatkyi, a colossal reclining Buddha;
karaweik Hall, a royal barge on the Kandawgyi Lake;
National Museum which depicts the history and the
culture of Myanmar, Nanthida Jetty to see life on the
Yangon river. Transfer to the airport for departure
flight. |
